How do you lot find your new 4G ipods?

Hi, i was just wondering how everybody here finds their new 4G ipods coz i might just be about to buy one next week if i cant get hold of this 2nd hand mini ipod somebody is selling(due to 4G dropping the day he bought his mini).

My dad has one and its great. The battery life is better and the ability to save the on the go play-lists is excellent.

Mac Specs: MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz Core 2 Duo 4GB RAM OS 10.5.2
Apple just issued a statement that there is more to the new iPod then meets the eye.. have you encountered anything like that? I wonder if they are opening it up for 3rd party developers to run apps on it.. or something like that. I am curious as to what apple was referring to.
