    Specs:
    Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz 2GB 160GB OSX
    Ipod won't connect with firewire
I've been using my 5.5 ipod 80gb on a windows pc for about 10 months but have recently converted to a macbook pro. One of the flaws of it though is the lack of usb ports so i thought i'd use firewire to connect the ipod however when i plugged it in, it said it didn't support firewire for transferring songs.

I've searched and can't find anything so any help would be really appreciated!
    thanks

The newer iPods don't do firewire. There is no way around it. Get a USB hub and use that, or lose some other USB devices. You don't have much choice here.

ok thanks for the quick reply. I'll probably try and get hold of a mini usb hub then.
