I am new to Mac. When I tried to put in my mp3s into iTunes, it says there is some -54 error. Anyone know of another mp3/media player for Mac? Thanks

Try Songbird for Mac its pretty impressive.
You can find it at http://www.songbirdnest.com/

As for the meaning of the error:
"-54 permErr Software lock on file; Not a subscriber [permissions error on file open]"

That error description sounds like the file permissions are set wrong for the files themselves. Might want to check that and change them.

Good Idea -
It doesn't seem to be anything Major.

However, Songbird is worth a try even if you get this sorted and you want a change from iTunes. It supports iPod too.
