How do you text message on the iphone and is it easy?

Also, I am a current member with AT&T and I have the 1000 minutes/1500 text mesages per month plan. Plus free mobile to mobile and free nights/weekends. Can I use this plan with an iphone or do you have to get a special iphone plan?

Thanks!

texting is very easy. You go to SMS on your main screen, select the name or number and type in the message. It shows up like an iChat layout

You can add the iPhone plan for $20/month which gives you unlimited data + 200 text messages

Don't forget to use the new User Reputation System

So the special iphone plans add on to your existing plan? But you don't have to add a special iphone plan?

From the AT&T and Apple Websites: For existing AT&T subscribers, you can use your current voice plan, and simply add on the iPhone's data plan which includes unlimited internet, e-mail, visual voicemail, and 200 SMS. More SMS can be purchased for an additional fee.
