I updated to mac osx 10.4.10, and i have the lastest version of itunes, and it is still not registering that I have the iPhone. iPhoto pops open when I plug it in but nothing on iTunes.

Grrrr!

I shut down my phone with ibook on, nothing.
shut the phone down, and the ibook, re booted- nothing.

My phone has almost all its charge.

why do they make this so hard for me???

I am going to bed now. I have been working on this for over 6 hours now.

And not that I don't believe you, but you are absolutely sure you have iTunes 7.3 installed? Do other USB devices show up when you plug them in? It's not out of the realm of possibility that you received a defective iPhone.

Yup just looked- i did upload the 7.3 Itunes. The USB works, because i can upload my pictures i took on my iphone to iphoto.
