Just opened iTunes to find that my iPod Nano 2g has a firmware update #1.1.3 However, upon installation, I get an error message saying "The iPod 'kenbrinkman' could not be updated. An unknown error occured (1453)." This message appears when I try to restore the iPod as well. But I can still add music and manipulate the playlists. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried rebooting the iPod? (hold down menu and select buttons)

I just tried it, but no luck. I still get the same message. Thanks, though!

Completely out of left field here, but I remember having some fearsome problems with my first Ipod video, and eventually solved it by updating quicktime.

I have seen these 'loops' before with Apple stuff - you update a driver for something, then it won't work with the OS, so you update the OS and it busts something else . . .

I'd suggest run software update and make sure you have the most recent verision of Itunes, quicktime etc.

Sounds like a problem with the computer, not the iPod. Jonnyd has a good suggestion- it may be a conflict between the latest Intel-based OS update and the iPod 1.1.3. Don't give up!
