itunes locked with ipod

i upgrade my itunes and now when i connect my ipod i found a lock on the bottom of the itunes window
the songs i cant play because there not highlighted with black they are faded grey
what did do?? help me anyone i want to play music now

You already asked this question in this thread, but never followed up to the responses that were left. My guess is that you either didn't see the responses or they didn't work for you. Can you update us please?

Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

i can play the ipod but once connected to itunes its locked
and its not the button on the top that im talking about

My understanding of the problem is that you have the iPod connected, you're clicking on the iPod from the Devices list and you see that everything is grayed out, so you can't play songs that are on the iPod. When the iPod is disconnected, it works just fine.

If that's the case, I think this is normal behavior for the latest version of iTunes, you just need to click on your Library and play the songs from there.
