track, artist, album missing from imports - Mac-Forums.com

I got a nice new Mac Book Pro yesterday and decided to import a few of my new CD's into iTunes. When I did this none of the information about the track name, artist, album came across so I was left with a list of multiple Track 1, 2, 3 etc...

Now the same CD's import all the info on my old iMac without problem so any idea whats gone wrong and how I sort this out?

G'day stacks & welcome to Mac-Forums.

Have a look in iTunes>Preferences>Advanced>Importing

See if there's a check in the box next to "Automatically retrieve CD track names from the internet."

thanks for the welcome and the fix! I didnt realise the info was retrieved from the net, I assumed the CD's would have it all on so I will check that setting out tonight and then get busy with some importing!!
