What is the "other" ... all I have is music on my ipod. And it's taking up 93 mb of space.
Btw, I have a 30 gig video. How do I get rid of this? I did not read the rules. Also no one should be like me, I was wrong. |

This has been already answered.
Other is any data that iTunes does not see as iTunes data. If you move documents or folders on there from the Finder, they would be "other". Some of it is also the iPod software and drive formatting as well. ![]() |

I can tell you this much.. if you want to get rid of "other" then restore your ipod.

A large part of it is Album art. I know that my "Other" category expanded dramatically when I installed iTunes 7 and did the global update on album art. So, that is a big part of it.
