are these movies etc already on your computer? if so all you need to do is convert the file to mp4 formatt. Go to www.versiontracker.com or www.macupdate.com and search "ipod conversion" there are a ton of free programs that will convert the files into mp4. I suggest Isquint. Its fast, simple, and free.

If you want to load a dvd onto your ipod first you will need to find software that will rip the file onto your computer and from there you can convert the file into mp4. There are some programs out there that will do both in one shot.. Handbrake is a good one that will both rip and convert at the same time that way you can view the video/movie etc on your ipod.

here is a good link on ripping/converting video so you can put it onto your ipod video

all these programs I suggested ie Handbrake/Isquint etc can be found on www.versiontracker.com or www.macupdate.com
