hey guys, I just bought a new ipod and wold appreciatte if someone can explain steps to load video onto it. I have rock concerts dvds and personal videos I would like to load. Ive heard they need to be converted but dont know how. can someone explain please?

are these movies etc already on your computer? if so all you need to do is convert the file to mp4 formatt. Go to www.versiontracker.com or www.macupdate.com and search "ipod conversion" there are a ton of free programs that will convert the files into mp4. I suggest Isquint. Its fast, simple, and free.

If you want to load a dvd onto your ipod first you will need to find software that will rip the file onto your computer and from there you can convert the file into mp4. There are some programs out there that will do both in one shot.. Handbrake is a good one that will both rip and convert at the same time that way you can view the video/movie etc on your ipod.

I squint will not work with windows.. View that link in my last post. There are many free conversion programs for windows that are listed there.. you could also try this one its called "Free iPod Video Converter - 1.32"
