I recently bought a new 30 gig video ipod. I have synced it with itunes but now when I connect it I get an error message saying it cannot be updated, unknown error (-48).
I have reset my ipod and then it updated but now I have come back after a couple of days and the same thing happened.
i am syncing music and podcasts from itunes and photos from iphotos

this is an issue I don't think there is a fix for yet.. try this..

go to www.apple.com

search their forums for "error 48"

I did a bit of reasurch for you on this topic and came up with a lot of upset people with the same issue. I did not find a fix but I was not able to look very long seeing as I am at work..

If that is no help I suggest you go to www.ifixipodsfast.com

join their forums and ask you question there.. the guy that hosts that site is VERY smart when it comes to ipod issues..
