auto sleep + alarm clock for 1st Gen Ipod Nano?

Hi. I just got a 1st Gen ipod Nano and I was trying to find the menu for setting an alarm clock and auto shutoff timer but I couldn't find them anywhere on the menu. Are these functions not built in for the nano? Or they are just hidden somewhere not easy to be found?

I think the info is in the manual... I will go look it up when I get home tonight.
