Apple has just released a utility for those of us who have been afflicted with the "blinking orange and green LEDs" problem on our first generation iPod Shuffles.
The problem hit my 1 GB a little over a month ago, and a guy at the Genius Bar said that indication means the Shuffle is a goner. Basically, nothing beyond the alternate flashing lights happens when you hit play: the computer won't mount it, music disappears from it, etc. Here's a link to the utility. If any of you have a dead Shuffle around, you should try this to see if it revives it. There are versions for both the Mac and PC. Best of luck! Cheap Date Show: Real people. Real food. Real date. |
