iPod doesn't have my full library

When one of my artists on itunes has a album for some of the songs and doesn't for the rest. The songs without and album aren't on my ipod. Is there a setting I can change or do I need to go through my library and label all blank albums as "unknown"?

Make sure you have the latest version of the iPod software installed, I'm not sure if this was a bug they fixed...
