Anyway to maintain 2 separate libraries in iTunes???

I have a MBP with a 80gig harddrive, after MS Office, my movies and pictures, it didn't even come close to leaving enough room for my entire MP3 collection. I put about 20g of music on my MBP.

I have all my MP3s(65 gigs worth) backed up on an external HD. Is there anyway that I can add all the songs to iTunes and use it when I want, but then after I disconnect and go somewhere, it won't have all the song entries there?

They obviously won't be available and I don't want to have to accidentally click on one thinking I have it on my HD and having to go through that window that says, "Do you want to locate missing file?" etc.

Not really, no. Once you add them iTunes will keep track of them and not let them go. It will show them as not being available. Maybe you just need a bigger HDD.

I just went standard 80g HD b/c I knew the 100 would still be too small so I opted to save some money. Does anybody make a 120 or 140g HD for the macbookpro?

Only way you could do what you are trying to do is to move your iTunes Library file and xml file out of the music folder when you are not connected to the hard drive, move them back in when you are
