Shared Library transfers

Is there a way for me to copy songs from my shared library between my iTunes on my power mac and the iTunes on my powerbook. I can see my shared library on my powermac but I want to copy the songs over instead of streaming them from my desktop computer, I know I can't do this in iTunes but is there a plugin for iTunes that lets me copy them to and fro?

I have used a program called getTunes to do this. It's a bit slow and awkward (it has to start and stop each song to copy them, and requires a separate program to be running). It's okay, but a little clunky. You can find it on versiontracker.

Check out Doug's Applescripts and look for something there. As I recall, he has something that will do this. I haven't personally tried it, but let us know how it works for you!
