iPod touch showing photo folders not selected in iTunes
So my 5th gen iPod touch is showing photo folders that are not selected in iTunes. I've deselected all photo folders that I've pointed iTunes at, removed all synced photos from the device, and then selected the folders I wanted on there.

Still, there are folders I didn't select showing up.

Would the next idea be to restore the iPod to "like-new" (i.e. no restore from backup)?

You could do that provided you're not worried about losing anything that you don't have backed up, or can procure another copy of.
