How do I erase my "OS System" files from my iPod?

Hi, a couple months ago I was having problems with the hard drive in my iBook and I had used my iPod to run OS X. Since then I bought a new hard drive and now I would like to erase the OS System files from my iPod so I can add more audio files... problem is, I'm not sure how to. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!

You should be able to just run the iPod Updated to restore the iPod.

open up the ipod in finder and drag the files you saved as part of osx on there to the trash.
