my 4th gen ipod with 40 gig hard drive only shows 16 gig capacity on the 'about' section of settings. . i have to think its a partition problem but what would change the partitions that would limit the available capacity?
QUOTE Thanks

It's likely not a partition problem unless you created another partition on your iPod. Did you attach the iPod to your Mac and open it in Finder to see exactly what was taking up the space on it? You could also mount it in Disk Utility to see if in fact there is another partition taking up space.
QUOTE Thanks
