Um, yeah, I updated my Windows formatted iPod b/c my computer told me there was an update available for my iPod. Apparently iPod updates are for Mac formatted iPods only. They def. did not tell me this and now my iPod will register on the mac but not on my iTunes. Any way I can "un-update" my iPod?

No, that is incorrect. You can update your iPod for windows. Are you trying to use it on your windows or mac machine? I can't quite understand your post.

If you want to use it on your windows machine, just re-run the updater. If that doesn't work, just restore the iPod (using the iPod updater) and re-load your music using iTunes.

If you want to sync the iPod using your mac, just run the updater on the iPod using the Mac. Then, sync your ipod using iTunes.

Can you provide a more specific post? I'm not quite sure I understand what you are trying to say.

If you update on a Mac, and it is Windows formatted, it will reformat for a mac. If you update on a PC and it is Mac formatted, it will reformat for a PC.

If you are going to share between Mac and PC you MUST format/update it on the PC.
