Video Freeze

My new ipod video has frozen while playing a video. There is no sound just a still picture. I tried to plug it in to my ibook but it won't even automaticaly open itunes. Do I just let the battery run out and then charge it to see if that gets me out of the video or what? Is there a command type feature on the ipod to restart?

Hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons until it restarts
