ipod and itunes FREEZING!

well first of all i'm using a PC with whatever newest itunes and a 3G 15GB ipod. I've been getting freezes of both itunes and my ipod lately. I've uninstalled and reinstalled itunes which has been the only solution i've found so far. And my ipod likes to freeze then start playing back up after a long pause. Just wondering if anyone else has had these problems too and if anyone has an answer/solution? Thanks!!!

Have you tried doing a firmware restore on your iPod?

yeah i did that too and after i load up music again it starts to do the freezing stuff again
