    17" MBP, 2.5 GHz, 4GB RAM, 250GB HDD, OSX Yosemite...iPad Air 2 64gB....iPhone 5
    Problem trying to sync iPhone with iTunes
    I receive the following message:
    iTunes cannot sync apps to the iPhone because the apps installed on the iPhone could not be determined.

    Not sure what this means as I have only downloaded apps from the app store.

    Restarting iTunes seemed to resolve the issue.
