apple ipod vid?

ok i just bought the ipod vido and i was wondering if i could get some movies and shows that i got from limewire and direct conect on the ipod??? Do i need to conmvert it to mp4 first?

I am pretty sure you need to convert them. I use ffmpegx to convert mine from limewire, then put them in itunes and it uploads them onto the ipod. pretty straighforward process.

yeah that works...i like isquint even better. it is made just for converting video for the ipod. it can convert almost every file and it even fixes the avi's with no sound or picture.

i get videos from limewire, but when i put the into the itunes library and convert them, it leaves the sound?!? im not sure why it does that, anyone know? i am also trying to get a full length movie which is currenty on bought dvd, saw 2 (if you thought that was bloody, go see hostel. that would make a grown man shiver.), and am unable to get it onto the ipod in disk mode, dragging it onto the ipod in source list, and putting it in the itunes library and then to ipod. none of them work. help please!
