5g iPod photo/video zoom?

I remember looking at a friends 4G iPod and when viewing photos, was able to zoom in..I think. How can I do this with my new 5g? I have the full sized photos enabled. Also, is there a way to zoom in on video?

You can't zoom in on the photos, he may have had a transition for the slideshow set to zoom in but you can't zoom in on the actual photos. And there is no way to zoom in on video, that would also be a massive battery drain
