I have a 30gb ipod Photo, Received it as a gift from a client of mine last july.

Well today for the second time i've had to open it up. Inside, the dock connector board has a ribbon cable coming off of it to feed power to the unit. This keeps working it's way out of the connector back there.

Anyone else have this issue?

I've never had this issue before, but I've never opened up my iPod before, so I wouldn't know. Doesn't opening your iPod ruin your warranty? If not, I'd take it into a mac store and see what they can do for ya.

Apple wouldn't look at it because I had no proof of purchase as I'd gotten it as a gift.

Opening it most likely ruins the warranty, but that doesn't bother me too much.
QUOTE Thanks
