yeah so for a while now ive been trying to figure out why my computers hard drive space is so low. its a 1.5 powerbook and has an 80gig in it. what i want to know is why is iTunes the application taking up 39 gigs when my library folder only has 20 somethin gigs worth of music. also is there a way you can search for files based on size. theres got to be a way..

btw first post!

look at disk inventory X on http://www.versiontracker.com that should show where all your space has gone.

did you ever reimport your music and point iTunes to a new folder for your library? if so, there maybe copies of songs still on the hard drive.

Try removing the album art from your iTunes music.

if you import a song you download it may be copied into the itunes library and the original file may be elsewhere on your HD causing it to take up even more space than it should

MoTM honor roll...
when?
i dont remember
