ipod touch airplay mirroring not working

the ipod can airplay videos, pictures and music but when i tap the home screen twice and go across to controls and pick apple tv option it doesnt have mirroring like iphone does ive checked the software is up to date on it but its just not doing it for me any ideas ? |
