iPod Classic Not Syncing Movies

I just purchased this brand new iPod Classic and I am very frustrated, I am trying to add a movie to it and I tried this both ways by syncing movies and manually doing it as well by dragging and dropping. neither way will work and it is in the correct video format which is m4v. Can someone please help me?

You may need to convert the resolution and the format in order for them to be played on the ipod.
