Should I keep Trying or Give Up? iPod Touch 1G "Error 1604"

I have tried almost every thing thats out there, been trying to fix it for a week now non stop :/...

Im getting an "error 1601" when trying to restore, it happens when it says "Preparing ipod for restore" i have tried default restore, have use iReb with custom ios and more, also have tried on a fresh installed windows and always no matter what i do or try always get errors ...

Can some one please tell me what else i can try??? or just give up :/
