If I leave my shuffle on, in pause, will it wear down the battery?
The reason I ask is because I hate sliding the switch back & forth.
Know what I mean?

No, the battery shouldn't wear down. The shuffle just turns off, when not in use for a period of time. It goes into a sleep sort of state, yet it shouldn't need to use any sort of battery power.
