Help Please Because I want to get ios 5

my ipod touch is 3g i downloaded ios 5 to install and when i click shift + click on the file but it says its incompitatible because in settings it says 2g but its 2g

please someone help me fix it please URGENT*

Confused... If you have a 2g iPod Touch you are out of luck. What is the model number of the iPod? Settings>General>About

That is a second generation iPod Touch model number. Technically the only real 3rd generation products were the 32gb and 64gb models.
