I'm not sure if this is something new with the iPod, but I have never seen this limitation before, nor have I seen this advertised on the iPod/iTunes Webpage until now.

I personally have 3 iTunes Accounts that I have purchased music from (AOL, .Mac, Apple ID) I also share my Computer with my Wife that has purchased with 2 of her 3 ID's. So she starts using her Apple ID to purchase music incase we kill the .Mac ID like we did the AOL ID. Now we get an error msg that only music from 5 Accounts can sync with an iPod. I contacted Apple about this but they have not responded yet.

Anyone else have this problem, or does anyone know if this has always been a limitation? I remember when I purchased my iPod I read through all the Fairplay Stuff, sync limitations, etc and didn't run across this.

6 accounts for 2 people is a little bit odd though...

I'd burn the music from the account that has bought the least onto CD, reimport it and then ditch that account.

Well, I'm sure it's not the norm, but we both had AOL ID's, I killed AOL and we both got a .Mac Account when I got my iMac. After using the .Mac account for a month to purchase music, we decided to switch it to a Apple ID incase we don't keep the .Mac service.

I was thinking about doing the burn and re-import, but if I burn a song that is originally 128 kbps to a CD and then re-import it at 128 kbps, wouldn't I lose like 1/2 the sound quality of the original?
