Hey guys. Well the wait is over and i have finally got my new iPod nano 6th generation. It sucks. No video, No games, No video Camera (like the one on the 5th g) Apple had a convention back in early 2010 where they found that the iPod nano 5th generation was the most popular with the ipod touch in second most popular. What i have come to is that apple wants more money so therefore they have taken al of those awesome features out and thrown them into the iPod touch and iPhone. In the keynote for this, Steve Jobs was talking about all of the excellent things in the iPod nano 6th generation but did not mention the important stuff like video playback and no gaming. I have been sitting here for 8 days checking back frequently to see if there is an iPod nano 6g 1.01 update where they could allow video playback and or games seeing as there is an accelerometer in this thing but unfortunately rumors have said that there will be no Major updates in this useless touchscreen MP3 Player. So is there anything nice to say about this iPod nano 6th Generation ? tell me Below. thanks

The 6th gen has been out for 4 months. There are reviews about it all over the web. Not sure I agree with Apple having stripped down the device from the previous generation. Having said that, the responsibilty of knowing what you are buying falls on the purchaser. And it wouldn't have taken 10 minutes to know all of that prior to purchasing it.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.

You want video playback on that tiny little screen and gaming? The iPod nano, which I own, is a great MP3 player and the form factor is perfect for that.

I have both the 5G and the new 6G. Never used the video capability of the 5G and found it difficult to carry around since it has no clip. I wound up buying one of those add on clips sold by Griffon. (an additional $19) The 6G is ideal for carrying around - small, has the clip built in, and a fast charging internal battery.

Video and gaming on a screen that is less than 4cm diagonally would be terrible. By the time you put a finger on there to control things, you'd lose about half the screen under your finger.

If gaming and video are a concern for you, the iPod Touch really is the best iPod for you. It always has been.

I've noticed you guys are talking about how gaming would suck on there. I have noticed by going into iKern that it has the Accelerometer like the 5G ( tilt sensor) if they could put the maze game on it or something like that; that would be neat ! My other point is if you can easily view pictures perfectly. why not view video's there is nothing weird about wanting to show your friend the new podcast or music video. Or say your sitting in a doctors office wishing you could watch super bad. Video playback would be spectacular on that device.

It's not whether or not the device can handle it but more a question of whether the device is suited to such tasks. The major factor is the screen size which is tiny for gaming and videos. Yes, there is picture support built in but even viewing pictures on a screen that size wouldn't be all that special. It's best left to album art.

But it completely is suitable. remember all the other iPod nano's ? they all had gaming and video playback.

Have to disagree. The vast majority of people that got it because it could play video would be so disappointed trying to watch a movie on a screen that size and not long after, a bad taste in their mouth about the product.

I have one of those other iPod Nanos and the screen size bites on that one for watching movies, much less the new one. In 3 years, think I've watched part of one movie on it.

I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.

Apple should have eliminated the classic and the nano and made the "hipster". 64 or 128 gb, videos, camera, starting at $199. Then they should have eliminated the 8gb iPod touch to prevent price point conflicts.

I'd buy one

Does the new iPod Nano play music? MP3 playback should be the most important thing on an MP3 player.
