My ipod isn't working, I think there is some corrosion in the charging port so I would like to get that fixed. Would taking it to the apple store be too expensive to get it fixed or should I take it somewhere else? (if so, where?)

Take it to the Apple Store, find out the cost. TThen you have a better idea as to what it will cost to fix. My guess is Apple will be the highest priced, but you won't know until you find out.

BTW... What iPod is it... it may be a lot cheaper to replace than repair.
