Hi, my macbook isn't recognizing my ipod touch but it is recognized on my windows computer. My macbook stopped recognizing my ipod touch after i pressed optimize themes in winterboard though I'm not sure if that is the problem. Also I tried restoring it on my macbook and I got an error 1611 I believe but my windows computer was able to restore it and it also updated to IS 4 and was 3.1.2 before. However, my macbook still can no recognize my ipod touch. Both my macbook and windows computer are using itunes 9.2 right now. Any advice would be greatly aprpeciated.

All my music is on my macbook so this is really frustrating! : (

I have been having the same issue since I purchased my new MBP and its beyond frustrating. Calling Apple today!

Just deleted and reinstalled iTunes and it shows up. This is the second time I have had to do this so we shall see how it goes.
