I heard that the iOS 4 update would be released on June 21st and I want to update my 3rd generation 32GB iPod Touch as soon as possible. However, I leave on a month long trip on the 19th. I will have access to a computer with internet, but I will not have my computer that I sync my iPod to. I have a virtual machine of Windows XP loaded on my Flash drive with SP2 and iTunes 9.2 installed.
Would I be able to update my iPod via the virtual machine without the data being taken off my device or will I have to wait until I return from my trip?
QUOTE Thanks
