Pretty much all SHN and Flac and yes this is all legal for those wondering...the GD are one of many bands that allow taping and trading of all of their shows (And they allow downloading) Don't forget to use the new User Reputation System |

SHN and FLAC are both lossless formats which are at the exact quality of the original tape. You will need to download a program like xAct which can convert SHN/FLAC into wav and then you would convert it to mp3 in iTunes. The reason there are so many steps is because the trading community heavily frowns upon mp3's...they want everything in the lossless quality it was recorded in, so that people don't get a recording that has degraded in quality from being compressed and uncompressed over and over

Once you convert it to wav you can convert it to mp3 in iTunes and get rid of all of the wav and SHN/FLAC files so you just have the mp3's

im not sure about that. trpnmonkey41 seems to know alot about this, and hes quick in his responses. im sure if you pm'd him he would be able to direct you to some good information. also, you should check out nugs.net they have some really nice streams and downloads. i like places that have downloads in addition to streams. what places have you found to be good?

nugs is very good
archive.org bt.etree.org is BitTorrents of trade friendly bands Those are the sites I use most often As for Ogg's I haven't found any good plugin's or converters for OS X so I have just been converting them on my windows PC and adding them to my external hd from there. There is a new program I just got called Cog (Freeware on versiontracker and macupdate) that says it plays Flac and Ogg but I haven't tried it out yet Don't forget to use the new User Reputation System |
