Just purchased an IPOD Shuffle and it will not connect to my Power Mac G4. I thought it was a problem with the usb connection not 2.0 High Speed and running Jaguar. But I purchased a high speed card and inserted it and still looking at the same problem. Any ideas beside upgrading software. I am not sure that will solve the problem Appreciate any help with this
Thanks

I kind of had the same problem with my iPod Shuffle. Sometimes, after I plug in the iPod Shuffle, my iMac won't recognize it. So, I needed to slowly pull it out of the usb port until the light on my iPod Shuffle turns on.

Here is my thread very similar to yours:

Didn't work for me. I read in the Apple Forum that deleting an Itunes File and reinstalling ITunes might help. Plan to try it out later today

Within Terminal I removed a Tunes Driver restarted and downloaded the current version of ITunes. Restarted again and connected the IPod. Works great now. Anyone wanting this info can find it at Apple's site.
