iPod Always Syncing

Everytime I plug in my iPod it has to sync, even if I haven't added anything to my library. I can sync it, unplug it then plug it in right away and it syncs again. Each time its a different amount to. Some times its 2000 songs, then its 400...

WTH is going on!

I play WoW on a Mac!

well since getting mad at it hasnt helped try unchecking the box labeled
"automatically sync when ipod is connected" on the summary page when the ipod is plugged in.
