Hi, newbie here. my iPod classic 80gb, more or less messed up a while back. Tried getting into contact with apple about it and they said it would cost me, I unfortunetly don't have the means to pay right about now. However I stumbled across a few posts or so and managed to use the disk utility in mac to reformat the iPod drive to mac osx extended (journal), this seems to have done the trick into getting my ipod revive, and when I finally use the restore function in iTunes, progress seems to have been made. But then I'm met with the 'this ipod could not be restored as it could not unmount' something along those lines. Anyone know how to resolve this?
Many thanks.
QUOTE Thanks
