iPod - Problem with my iPhone battery life.?

My iPhone's battery doesn't last for one day after whole night of charging. Sometime I have to charge twice per day. Today I was watching a bit of video on my iPhone, then I stopped it and went away. It had more than 50% charge left. And when I came back, iPhone was completely off.
Can anyone help me to solve the battery problem..?

The LCD takes up a ton of battery power to stay active all the time. A fully charged iPhone can play about 20+ hours of music if you use it purely as a player without turning the LCD on. The iPhone can do about 5-6 hours of video playback fully charged..

With normal usage, I'd totally expect the iPhone to be charged every night..video is going to be the biggest draw by far..
