My ipod touch 3rd generation is 3 weeks old. Today I noticed that I have a vertical line across the screen, it wasn't there before.
I wonder if this is caused because I charged the ipod with a 3rd party charger, albeit compatible with this ipod?

the line is inside, like dead pixels...

any ideas what's the cause?

It probably overheats the battery a little. The battery is probably pushing against the graphics unit.
