Ok, so I got this 80gig Ipod (not sure whether it's classic or video, I believe video) and it ceases to show itself in Finder when Itunes finds it.
So I plug the Ipod in, it shows in Finder. Perfectly fine. Itunes starts. Finds it. Ipod disappears from Finder. Tried doing this in Disk Mode, doesn't work.

Can anyone please help?? Thanks.

"This is expected behavior. Other iPod models have what is called "disk mode" which will enable iPod to be visible on the computer's desktop."
-iPod touch: Appears in iTunes but not in Finder or Windows Desktop

Yea, this is perfectly normal. You can't write to the iPod while it's in use by iTunes. You have to eject it from iTunes in order to access it via Finder.
