I want to record class lectures and I have a 5th generation iPod Video 30gb. The problem is the battery life, its so low I know it wouldn't last an hour when recording. I am looking to buy a new iTouch 3rd generation 32gb. The problem with this is that it's so new that no 3rd generation specific microphones have come out (like the Griffin iTalk or Macally's microphone). Do 2nd generation microphones work with the 3rd generation iPod touch? Or does anyone know of any companies coming out with any new peripherals (mic's only of course) for the 3rd gen. iTouch? Thanks!

Has anyone tried the mics that worked on the the ipod touch 2G? Like the ThumbTacks from Switch Easy?
