iPod Touch - 1st Gen Ipod Home button broke

Is there an easy do it yourself repair for a 1g ipod touch home button. Mine stopped working and I don't have warranty on it. I have to restart the ipod every time i want to switch apps. Which makes it impossible to access wifi while on my school campus. Thanks for your help!

I didn't get apple care and so the first initial year warranty is up :/
