my ipod classic 120gb will not show images when playing enhanced podcast which contain embedded images.

why might that be?

the ipod will neither show cover images of audio books that i have installed nor any cover art for albums tho i turned that function off in itunes since i didn't want the images to take up extra file space.

is this possibly a setting malfunction?

or is the ipod classic incapable of showing embedded images in enhanced podcasts.

The problem may be the latter.

One thing I've noticed about the iPod Classic is backwards compatibility issues with the iPod Video.

Much of which lies with-in the podcast region of iTunes.
Meaning, iTunes podcasts were designed to work with the iPod Video/iPod Nano G2. When the iPod Classic/iPod Nano G3 came out, the new shell had backwards compatibility issues, I figured Apple would fix this with updates to the iTunes Music Store, but apparently not.
