192 mp3 = ? AAC?

What is the equivalent of 192kbps mp3 in AAC format? thinking of changing my music to AAC format.

also, how can i change my existing mp3s to AAC?

I am not sure how to do what you want, but what I have read. Changing from mp3 to AAC wouldn't buy you any thing. The mp3 format is more conpressed than AAC. So moving from AAC to mp3, there is a loss of sound quality. Moving from mp3 to AAC, will not get that sound quality back since it is lost already. You will only hear this if you have a very good ear. Most of us wouldn't know the difference in sound quality.

so if all my mp3s now are at 192kbps, what is the equivalent bitrate of AAC is that?

also, are the file sizes of 192 mp3s the same as 192 AAC?

192 mp3 is approximately the same as 128 AAC. AAC is smaller file sizes
