so I restored my whole mac last week and then plugged my ipod in to charge like normal and my computer wont detect it, its not charging at all(very low on battery now), the ipod is giving me a red X on the screen, and i've tryed holding middle button and play at the same time to reset the ipod but nothings happening....

I've tryed all the walkthroughs about the problem on line but still no sucess...so is the ipod dead/broken or is there a way i can just restore it?
QUOTE Thanks
