iPod - iphone and touch wireless authentication

anyone know if the wireless authentication on an iphone or an ipod touch works with WPA and EAP-FAST like my macbook does. I work in a hospital so wireless security has got to be rock solid, the promise of a handheld browser on an ipaq for medical applications was a lie! The browser is crap, the battery life is pathetic and the network driver could not stay attched to the network for more than 5 minutes An ipod touch would be cool and the doctors would be fighting over them
